Frequently Asked Questions

Pre-Booking Questions

Why should you choose The Wright Lights?
  • Local to Lawton
  • Better than cheaper online DIY alternatives
  • Premier 5-foot-tall marquee light vendor in southern Oklahoma
  • Support a small business, support a family
  • We carry an event insurance policy (required by some venues)
  • You don't need supplemental decor when booking our lights–they fill the room!
Can you help me decide what letters or numbers to book?

Absolutely! If you are unsure what will look best, we are happy to suggest layouts and phrases based on your event type, space and budget.

How big are your marquee letters?

Our marquee lights are 5 feet tall–that's nearly as tall as the average person! The width of each letter varies, but on average, the letters are about 3' wide. If you need specific dimensions of your setup, just let us know and we will be glad to provide that information for you!

What are some events I could use the letters for?

Graduation party, baby shower, gender reveal, marriage proposal, corporate event, Christmas party, reunion, anniversary, birthday, grand opening—any special event!

Can I or should I decorate the lights with balloons or other decor?

Yes, you can! However, do not use tape, command strips, nails, glue, glue dots, etc. to attach the decor to the lights. We recommend using binder clips or alligator clips to secure decor to the wooden edges of the lights. It should also be noted that supplemental decor is not a necessity. These lights fill the room and make a statement without anything added to them!

Do you offer balloons or other event decor?

The Wright Lights does not offer balloon decor, but one of the owners does offer balloon decor through her Facebook page, The Knick Knack Nurse - Lawton, OK. However, the lights make a huge statement and fill the room–with or without any additional decor!

How far in advance should I book?

We commonly book up to a year out, especially for weddings! We recommend booking as early as possible to guarantee availability, especially for weekends and holidays. Popular dates can fill up quickly. However, sometimes we can even accommodate week-of bookings.

What happens if a light is damaged during the event?

We understand accidents happen, but damages may result in additional fees depending on the situation. The renter is responsible for the lights from the time of delivery until the time of pick up.
